Trophies

Trophies are “awards” configured specifically for an event. They define which participants can receive them according to different criteria within copernico 🏆.

These trophies are displayed in the app, in the trophy widget, and in the trophy presets, which can also be inserted into documents.

Trophies allow the creation of independent classifications. You may publish overall rankings, gender rankings, category rankings or attribute-based rankings without needing to award trophies for all of them.

For example, an event may define age-based categories (M40, F40, M50, F50…). However, the organizer may choose to award trophies only to the top 3 male and top 3 female participants. In that case, only one trophy block based on gender would be created.

Trophies may be associated with the overall ranking, gender, categories, attributes and team types. Participants who meet the requirements will be eligible for the corresponding trophies.

A common configuration includes trophies for:

• The top 3 overall participants
• The top 3 male and female participants
• The top 3 participants in each category

Trophies may be configured as cumulative or non-cumulative. If you are not familiar with cumulative trophies, please refer to the corresponding article.

Trophy Blocks

Trophy blocks provide additional flexibility. For example, one block may include non-cumulative trophies, while another block may contain cumulative ones. A participant may receive one trophy from the first block and one from the second block if they meet the requirements.

How to create trophies

Within the trophies section of the event, complete the following fields:

• Block name.
• Cumulative trophies (check the box if applicable).

For each trophy:

• Calculation segment: determines which segment is used for the trophy calculation. You may create trophies based on specific segments, such as a hill climb.
• Number of participants or team types included in the trophy.
• Trophy type: overall, gender, category, attribute or team type.
• Calculation mode: official time or net time. In this article you can learn to how to configure trophies by net time.
• Trophy detail: appears when the type is not “Overall”. Select gender, category, attribute or team type here.

After configuring the trophy, click Save.

Where are trophies displayed?

Trophies are displayed both in the Live platform and in the rankings, each with its own dedicated section.
