Each Copernico race receives the readings of the timing devices through Cloud V1 or Cloud V2. This article explains how to change the Cloud version of a race and what changes in Copernico when the race switches to Cloud V2.
New races are created with Cloud V2 by default. If a race is on Cloud V1 and you want to time it with Cloud V2, go to the race configuration and, in the Cloud version field, select v2. Then click Save.
This action has several consequences:
- A new Devices tab is displayed, where you assign timing devices to the race. The tab is disabled until the race has at least one physical location. See this article to learn how to configure them.
-
The right sidebar has two device buttons to check and rewind devices. The top one (laptop icon) opens the TS Cloud panel, with the devices connected to Cloud V1, and is only shown if the race is linked to a competition. The bottom one (monitor icon) opens the CLOUD V2 panel, with the devices connected to Cloud V2. In Cloud V2, devices can be paused, rewound and shifted with an offset, but not synced.
Until Cloud V1 “shuts down”, you can time with devices connected to Cloud V1 and others connected to Cloud V2.
See this article for the meaning of the device colour codes (green, blue and grey).
- On the dashboard, a new CLOUD V2 widget is available, where you can view the devices connected through Cloud V2.
Additionally, as a reminder, there are now reading export periods: from and until when each device exports readings from Cloud V2 to the race you are going to time or are timing.
In the race configuration:
And in the devices:
Ranges can be set for the whole race, for each location and for each device; see this article. A new export never starts in the past: if the start of the range has already passed, it starts now.
