How to import custom variables from another race?

You can import into a race the custom variables you have already set up in another race, without creating them again. In the following video we explain how to do it.

ℹ️ This video was recorded with an earlier version of Copernico; some screens may look different today.

1. Creation and use of custom variables

Copernico lets you create custom variables to use in your race documents. If you do not know how to create custom variables, follow this link.

2. Importing variables

You can import the custom variables of another race of your company, either present or past, when creating or editing a race:

  1. In the race general information, open the three-dot menu of the Custom variables section and click Import.
  2. The race list opens. You can search by name to find the race from which you want to import the custom variables. Only races that have custom variables are listed.
  3. Select the race and click the import button.
  4. Save the race configuration with the Save button.

3. Video transcript

Copernico allows us to create custom variables to use in our race documents. After having a past event with a series of custom variables, we will be able to create or edit another event that will happen and select the past race [now from the three-dot menu of the Custom variables section in the race general information, Import option]. We can do a search by name, find the race from which we want to import these custom variables, and we will be able to bring the custom variable settings that we have in our documents.

This avoids the need to manually create the variables in each race.
