Tags are a quick and easy method of classifying content. They can be thought of as keywords or labels that can be attached to a resource or any other content so that searches can find that content and related content.
Tags can be added to any document created in Copernico and will help you to quickly search and manage documents using the tag name. Type the tag in the search box at the top of the documents page (for example, “male”): Copernico suggests the matching documents and tags and shows the documents that contain that text. The search ignores case and accents, accepts partial matches and looks through the whole document (name, tags, author and the texts inside the document), so documents that do not have that tag but contain the text may also appear.
You can add tags when creating the document, in the Tags field of the Create and Edit document panel (+ button in the side bar of the documents page), or later, in the document row of the list. Each tag gets a color so that you can tell it apart at a glance. Only the author of a document can change its tags; in documents created by other users of your company, tags are shown but cannot be modified.
Some examples of use:
- Tag with the race name so that you can retrieve the documents of that race from one edition to another. For example, “CM” is Carrera de la Mujer.
- Tag to group by document type. For example, “categories” or “results” to group all documents containing classifications or categories.
- Tag for grouping teams.
