You can import the entire configuration of another Copernico race, whether it is archived or not.
In the following video you can see how to import the configuration:
To import the configuration into a new race, you must first create the race in Copernico. This article explains how to create a race in Copernico. You can also import the configuration while creating the race, with the same button on the creation screen; in that case the date window does not appear, so check the dates before saving.
1. Import the configuration
Once the race is created, the import is simple:
- In the race setup (Race screen), click the Import race from Copernico button in the button column on the right. Do not confuse it with the button just above it, which imports the race from Sportmaniacs.
- The Import panel opens. Use the search box to find the race to import by name.
- Select the race.
- Copernico asks for confirmation in the Import races window: all the information entered so far will be replaced by the configuration of the selected race. Click Yes to continue.
- The date window opens. Original dates shows the From and To dates of the source race. Under New dates, enter the New start date; the New end date is filled in automatically and you can change it. The list of events appears with the original date of each one and the suggested new date, which you can correct. Clear the events you do not want to import and click Import.
- The configuration is loaded into the race form. The name of the destination race is kept. Review the configuration, change it if needed and click Save.
2. What is imported and what is not
Issues to note:
Importing the configuration will replace the existing configuration. The name of the destination race is kept.
The entire race configuration will be imported:
- Events: imported with the date set in the date window (or the original one if you do not change it).
- Timing points and physical locations, with their minimum and maximum times and distances.
- Splits.
- Waves: check their date and time after importing.
- Categories: check the date settings of the categories after importing.
- Attributes.
- Team types.
- Trophies.
They will not be imported:
- Live data.
- Commentator 2.0.
- Kiosk.
- Organizer Info.
Once the configuration is imported and saved, the race is ready for you to review the details of the new edition.
