You can see a more extensive video explaining how Cloud 2 works in the following video:
When configuring a device in a location, it must be considered that there are time ranges.
This time range will also affect the visibility of active and non-active devices in the location.
There are 3 levels for the time range:
-
- Time range for the entire race: it will be configured from the race page:
-
- Time range for a specific location: it is configured from the devices section, by clicking on the pencil button in the specific location. Note: until there is a device in the location, it cannot be edited. It will affect all devices in that location.
-
- Time range for a specific device: at this level you can decide that a device is only visible and exporting during a specific time range. It is configured from the devices section, by clicking on the pencil button on the device. Note: until the device is associated with a location, it cannot be edited.
During the period that the device is configured in a location:
- It will send all received readings to the location where it is configured.
- It will be shown in the devices widget as connected.
- In the devices section in the right sidebar menu, it will show the icon in green.
There are some changes that affect the devices widget available for those who connect to Cloud 2. You can check it in the following article.
Finally, the status of the devices in the devices section of the right sidebar menu has changed:
- Green: It just means that the device is within the time range for sending readings. It may or may not be connected to the cloud.
- Blue: configured in the physical location but not sending. It is not yet in the time range for sending readings. It may or may not be connected to the cloud.
- Gray: it was configured in that location. It may have sent readings to the cloud or not. If it has sent, they can be rewound. It may or may not be connected to the cloud.
