A virtual race bib is a bib that is not hand-delivered to the participant but they can print it and use it during their virtual race or share it on their social networks, collaborative galleries of the race in the application, etc. The virtual race bib is sent to each participant in the race registration confirmation email.
To provide participants with a virtual race bib it is necessary to create it, design it and publish it in Sportmaniacs and that all participants have their bib number assigned to them. In this article, we explain how to activate the automatic bib number assignment.
How to create a virtual bib?
- Log in to Sportmaniacs and select the race.
- Click on “Virtual bibs” in the main menu on the left-hand side.
- Click on the button “+ Create virtual bib”.
- Select the image file to be used as the background of the bib and the event where the bib will be used.
- Create the bib: the design editor for the virtual bib is the same as for the personalised certificates that we explained in this other post. Select the elements and variables in the left panel and drag them over the diploma to configure them.
- When you finish click on the “Save” button.
- When you want it to be available to be sent together with the registration, check the “Publish” checkbox.
You can use different designs for each of the events or use the same design for all of them. If you want to use the same design for several events you can make a copy of the one you have already designed and apply it to the rest of the events:
- Go to “Virtual race bib” for each event of your race.
- Click on the button “Copy virtual bib”.
- Select your bib from the drop-down menu and click on “Save”.
- The virtual bib design editor will open again. This is the moment to make the changes you want to make to it.
- When you are done, click on the “Save” button and don’t forget to activate the “Publish” checkbox when it is ready.
