You can create custom variables to use in multiple documents/reports.
A custom variable is a field where you can add variable information across different races.
For example, you can use a custom variable to add the name of the city where the race is run, or you can use it to add a dynamic footer in documents/reports.
How do you create a custom variable?
In the race configuration section, expand the custom variable section and click the "+" button.
Next steps:
- You need to give it a title. Remember that this title must always have the same name to be used across documents. For example: the name "FOOTER" so it can be used as the footer in the documents where it is needed.
- Select the type. It can be text or image. In this example, footer are usually of type image.
By using custom variables, you can create complex documents where certain information is dynamic between different races, such as:
- City
- Water temperature
- Names of the judges
- Variable images between documents (that are not the race image)
- Any other data you may need
