Replace or modify the participant database in copernico

When deciding which of the two options to choose when importing a file with participants into Copernico, consider the following:

  • Is this the first import?

Use the replace option.

  • It's not the first import, but you want to delete the existing database and upload a new one.

Use the replace option.

This will delete all participant data and import the new participants.

IMPORTANT: if the race has Live, so that the followers do not lose their followers, the same unique athlete identifier is used. New participants will have to be imported with the same unique athlete identifier they had in copernicus up to that moment.

  • Do you want to add o modify fields to the existing data?

Use the modify option.

To modify the existing participant data, use the unique athlete identifier and event fields (although it's not mandatory). In a spreadsheet with these two columns, add the columns with the values you want to import or modify, for example, Name, Club, Team Name and Team Type.
