Athlete status

The participants of a race always have an assigned status. In Copérnico there are six status:

  • Not started: is the default state when the athlete has no split times.
  • Running: is automatically assigned when the participant has time in some split but does not yet have time in finish line.
  • Finished: is automatically assigned when the participant has a time in finish line.
  • Disqualified: is a manual state assignable by the timer that implies that the athlete does not have time or position.
  • Retired: is a manual state assignable by the timer that implies that the athlete does not have time or position.
  • Quarantine: is a manual state assignable by the timer that implies that the athlete does not have time or position.

In Copérnico the first three states (no started, running or finished) are automatically assigned according to the times taken from the athlete; and the next three states (disqualified, retired or quarantine) are assigned manually.

You can assign a manual status to an athlete, for example: to an athlete who is not started, running or finished you can assign the status of disqualified, retired or quarantine.

But you cannot assign an automatic status to an athlete, you only can return it to its original status.
