Connecting MyLaps devices to Copernico

This video explains how to send readings from your MyLaps timing devices to Copernico with the Timingsense Copernico Passing Hub program.

The program receives the readings that the MyLaps software sends over TCP/IP and forwards them to the Copernico race you choose.

Hello. In this video we will explain how to send readings from your MyLaps devices to Copernico. The Copernico Passing Hub program is responsible for making the connection between MyLaps and Copernico. These are the elements of the program you should know about:

  1. Number of connected clients: how many MyLaps devices you have connected at the moment.
  2. Readings received by the program.
  3. Number of readings sent to Copernico.
  4. Readings waiting to be sent. If there are readings that remain waiting to be sent, check that the names of the timing points are the ones you created in Sportmaniacs.

To connect a MyLaps device to Copernico, follow these steps:

  1. Run the Copernico Passing Hub program and configure the port on which the readings will arrive. The default port is 61611.
  2. Click the Play icon.
  3. The program will ask you for your Timingsense cloud username and password so that you can select the race to send the readings to. Remember that the race must be created before this step.
  4. Turn on the device and connect it using its software.
  5. To set up the TCP/IP connection of the device, click the gear icon in the Enable Link section.
  6. Enter the same port that you set up in Copernico Passing Hub.
  7. Start sending readings by activating the TCP/IP port checkbox.

Copernico Passing Hub will detect a linked device, and you will see how the readings arrive and are sent to Copernico.
