In order to setup the Classic Loop Box, start by connecting. Since the device does not have a display, the device must be connected to a mobile device or a computer.
Connecting to the device
There are three ways to connect to the device:
Connecting in access point mode: connect to the wifi network emitted by the device. Whose password corresponds to: timingsense_chipactive.
- Connect to the wifi emitted from the device.
- The password to the wifi is: timingsense_chipactivo.
- Open Chrome on a PC, tablet or mobile phone.
- Type the url: chipactivo.com
- Type the pin code: 123456
Connecting with a cable or wifi (in this case the PC and the device must be on the same network). The device, by default, is setup with a dynamic IP so you can connect to it by direct cable between the PC and the device. However, to connect to the computer it is essential to know the IP within the local network, i.e. you need to find the computer's IP address through TSConnector:
- Connect the device via cable to your PC.
- Open TSConnector
- Click on the device icons.
- Copy the IP assigned to the Classic Loop Box in the local network.
- Paste this IP in a new Chrome browser.
- Type the pin code: 123456
Connecting with WIFI (in this case the PC and the device must be on the same network). In other words, you should have already connected to the computer for the first time and added a wifi network to connect. The steps are similar to connecting with a cable:
- Turn on the device.
- If the device is connected to a known wifi network, the light on the button will not blink but will remain with a fixed blue light.
- Open TSConnector.
- Click on the device icon.
- Copy the IP assigned to the Classic Loop Box in the local network.
- Paste this IP in a new Chrome browser.
- Type the pin code: 123456
In any of the 3 cases, once the pin has been entered, you will access the device control panel.
When the device connects to a saved wifi network, the light on the button will not blink but will remain with a fixed blue light. We recommend that you take advantage of the first time you turn the equipment to setup the wifi network for your work or home.
