Filtering tags in Sportmaniacs

All Timingsense chips have a unique numbering. This numbering is composed of:

  • Company code
  • Race code
  • Unique athlete identification code, which in many cases matches the bib number

When you place an order for chips for a race, they are delivered already encoded with:

  • A company number (always the same)
  • A specific number for that race (if you have requested it)

From the race configuration in Sportmaniacs you can:

  • Activate the filters automatically created with your order
  • Add new filters if you use leftover chips from other races

❗ Important
When you activate the filter in Sportmaniacs, it is applied in the cloud. It is not applied on the device.

💡 You will still be able to create filters directly from the timing device. We explain how to do it in this article . Although we do not recommend it.

How filtering is activated

Access to the filters section

  1. Go to the race page in Sportmaniacs. If you do not know how to create a race in Sportmaniacs, you can check it in the following article. Here you can also link a race already created in Copernico.
  2. Click on Filters in the left-hand side menu. You will see that there is no filter active by default; none will be applied until you check the corresponding box.

Creating a new filter

  1. Click on Add filter.

Filter configuration

  1. Select your company name and the race for which you have ordered the sequenced chips.
  2. You can add codes from other races if you are using leftover chips.

Save and activate filters

  1. Click on Save.

All filters can be activated or deactivated. Remember to click on Save after any modification ✅.

ℹ️ Readings that do not meet the active filters will not be sent from the cloud to Copernico and other software, but they will remain stored in the cloud.

  • This allows you to recover them by deactivating the filter and rewinding the timing devices. You can rewind both in Copernico and in TSConnector.
  • Of course, all readings will also be stored on the device, allowing you to rewind them directly from the device. In the following article we explain how .
