This article explains how to rewind (recover) from Copernico the readings that timing devices have stored in the cloud, applying a time offset if needed, selecting several devices at once and choosing whether or not to apply the configured filters.
This procedure applies to timing devices connected to Copernico through the CLOUD V2 integration.
Contents
1. Accessing the devices panel
In the event Dashboard, the CLOUD V2 widget shows the timing devices grouped by location, along with their status: number of readings, time of the last reading, battery, CPU and reader temperature, and active antennas.
To manage rewinds, click the Devices icon in the right-hand sidebar.
The CLOUD V2 panel opens. Here you can filter by event using the Event drop-down and see the devices connected at each location (for example, Meta, Salida 5K, 5K or 10K). At the bottom, the Time to next update bar shows the time remaining until the next update.
2. Opening the rewind window
Next to each timing device you will find the options menu (⋮). Click it to display two options:
- Rewind: opens the rewind window on the Rewind V2 tab.
- Use offset: opens the same window on the Offset tab.
3. Configuring the rewind
The rewind window is titled with the location name (for example, META) and contains all the rewind parameters.
3.1 Selecting one or several devices
The left-hand column lists the timing devices at the location. The device from which you opened the window is selected by default.
You can rewind several devices at once by ticking their checkboxes. The rewind will run with the same settings for all selected devices.
3.2 Time range and location
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| From | Start date and time of the reading interval to recover. |
| To | End date and time of the reading interval to recover. |
| Location | Copernico location to which the rewound readings will be assigned. |
3.3 Rewind offset
Use Apply rewind offset to shift the time of the rewound readings:
- Select + to add time or - to subtract it.
- Enter the value in the time field using the hh:mm:ss.000 format (default 00:00:00.000, no offset).
3.4 Chip encoding
Use Chip encoding to select the encoding used to interpret the tags in the rewound readings. The default value is Inherit, which inherits the encoding already configured.
3.5 Applying filters
The Apply filters checkbox applies the filters set in the current export configuration to the rewind (Apply configured filters in the current export configuration).
- Ticked: only readings that meet the configured filters are recovered.
- Unticked: readings are recovered without applying the filters.
4. Running the rewind
Once you have reviewed all the parameters, click the REWIND button in the bottom-right corner of the window.
When the rewind finishes, the cloud-stored readings of the selected devices within the specified interval will be recovered in Copernico at the chosen location, with the offset and filters you configured.
