Login
When opening the app, the login screen will appear. Enter your registered email and password and tap Login.
The first time you log in, you must accept video and audio recording permissions. 🎥🎤
Race list
After logging in, you will access the main screen, which contains three tabs:
- Today: races available for recording or live streaming.
- Upcoming: informative list of future races.
- Past: previously recorded or streamed races (you may re-upload recorded videos).
Company selection
As a timingsense user, you may belong to multiple companies. At the bottom of the screen, you can choose the company for which you will start the broadcast.
Settings
In this section, you can check the app version and change the device name.
Race and location selection
Select the race you will record or stream. You can only stream races listed under the Today tab. The event date is essential.
After selecting the race, a menu will appear with available locations: start, finish, intermediate points, etc. These locations are configured in copernico.
Mode selection
There are two working modes:
- Stream: creates video clips that are automatically uploaded to MUX.
- Local: records locally on the device without cloud upload. Ideal for areas with limited or no coverage. A connection is required only to select race and location.
Live Streaming settings
Enable live streaming and configure:
- Resolution
- Framerate
- Bitrate (Mbps) — recommended: 4.0 (automatically adjusted based on network quality)
Tap Start Stream Recording to begin.
Local Recording settings
Enable local recording and configure:
- Resolution
- Framerate
- Bitrate (Mbps)
Tap Start Local Recording.
Start recording
Choose the recording orientation: vertical or horizontal.
On the next screen, the camera will open so you can start recording. Tap the blue button to start recording.
During recording, you will be able to check:
- Battery level
- Connection type
- Recording mode
- Current clip duration
Past recordings
When a local recording is finished, it will appear in the Past tab. From there, you can upload the recorded video to MUX using the upload button.
